Frequently Asked Questions

What makes online therapy different from in-person therapy?

For online therapy, the therapist and client(s) meet through a secure, private online video platform, rather than meeting at a physical office location

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

YES! Research by reputable organizations overwhelmingly supports the conclusion that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for treating most mental health concerns and for the use of most therapeutic approaches.

Do people feel as close to and comfortable with online therapists as they do in-person therapists?

The feedback I've received from clients, many of whom have tried both formats, is that they feel equally, if not more comfortable seeing a therapist in an online environment.

What are the potential advantages of choosing an online therapist?

What do I (the client) need to provide for a successful online therapy experience?

How much does it cost?

A standard 1 Hour session costs $160. Shorter/longer sessions may be available, as needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you receive Out of Network (OON) benefits from your insurance, I can offer a receipt (a "superbill") with the details needed for you to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier, if applicable. I also accept HSA and FSA cards for payment.
